We were really excited about our workation, as it allowed us to meet our fellow teammates after a while. An ideal opportunity to bond and builds better relationships, which can improve collaboration and communication within the team, workation helps us to strike a balance between work and leisure. It is an initiative of Beinex to de-stress, relax and enjoy some time off without compromising work commitments.
Beinex Marketing team, Beinex- Digital and Mobile team were first to go for the workation. We reached Kumarakom around 9.00 AM. We checked into one of the most picturesque resorts in the region - the Lakesong Resort. Known for its natural beauty, traditional architecture, and authentic cuisine, Kumarakom is a popular tourist destination for locals and foreigners. To visit this charming town on a workation and spend a day at the resort is to experience the best of both worlds, personal and professional.
As we were nearing the resort, we were awe-struck by the natural beauty of Kumarakom. The resort is located on the banks of the Vembanad Lake, which is the largest lake in Kerala and stretches for over 200 square kilometres. The sprawling grounds are dotted with lush greenery, vibrant flowers, and swaying palm trees that add to the serene ambience.
The calm and peaceful environment at Kumarokaom was ideal for a workation setup. The HR team has been responsible for making all the necessary arrangements for our workation to be comfortable and hassle-free. Thanks to their well-planned efforts, we could relax and work comfortably. Kumarakom's greenery and profound serenity created a peaceful and perfect ambience for a workation.
As noon approached, we decided to take a break and head to the resort's restaurant for lunch. The restaurant offers an array of traditional Kerala dishes, each prepared with fresh local ingredients and authentic spices. A buffet was arranged for us, and it was difficult to choose from the variety of options spread before us. The dishes were delicious and enough to satisfy the gourmets in us. Having food together and chatting were indeed fun moments. Many funny anecdotes were heard and shared, creating lighter moments.
After lunch, we continued with our work. The change in the environment enhanced our creativity and productivity. It gave us a fresh perspective and energized us to work without lethargy. We got ample opportunities to interact with team members in person.
By evening, we decided to explore the resort's private banks. The area was clean, and secluded, and offered a stunning view of the lake. We took a stroll along the place, enjoying the sun, sand, and waves. Later we went for a boat ride for an hour across the lake. It was a sublime, surreal experience. We all had fun on the boat ride, chatting, laughing, clicking pictures, and taking in the beauty of the breathtaking evening sky. The sky was painted with hues of pink, orange, and purple, and the reflection on the lake created a stunning sight that was truly mesmerizing.
As the sun began to set, we all headed back to our rooms to freshen up and prepare for the evening. The resort has a beautiful garden, and most of us take a walk around it, taking in the vibrant colours of the flowers and the sweet fragrances that filled the air. A few members of the team took pleasure in the pool and indulged in pool games. It was real fun!
As the night drew in, we settled down to have dinner at the resort's restaurant. The dinner also has a long array of a variety of dishes that confused our foodie-souls. After a hearty meal, we all sat around for a chit-chat. Later we headed to our rooms for a good night’s sleep in those cosy beds
The next morning, we had a satisfying breakfast and we left Kumarakom around 10.00 AM bidding goodbye to our teammates. It was a perfect workation experience to cherish forever. The tranquil environment, coupled with its excellent amenities, made for a perfect workation setup and offered us a peaceful and productive workation experience.
