O n the crisp morning of December 5, Beinexians from various locations eagerly made their way to the assembly point for the much-awaited annual event, Beinex Skywalk – A Journey Upward. The thrill of meeting online colleagues face-to-face was palpable, and the anticipation for the day's adventures was high. For new joiners, it was a chance to build fresh connections, while long-time teammates enjoyed rekindling friendships and sharing light-hearted banter. The assembly point quickly buzzed with laughter, stories, and a warm sense of togetherness.
Although the journey was delayed by two hours, the excitement intensified as everyone finally boarded the buses. The ride quickly turned into a moving celebration, with music setting the vibe. Non-dancers tried their hand at new moves, while hidden singing talents, reminiscent of Arijit Singh, stole the spotlight. The event's WhatsApp group buzzed with photos and videos capturing these cheerful moments. Meanwhile, the organizing team, already at the destination, waited eagerly, brimming with anticipation to get the festivities underway.
After a three-hour scenic drive through lush forests and serene valleys, we reached the stunning Coorg Wilderness Resort & Spa in Madikeri by 2:00 PM. We were greeted with warm smiles and a festive atmosphere, immediately making us feel at home. A trumpet's cheerful melody announced our arrival, perfectly setting the mood for the Beinex Skywalk.
The resort team welcomed us in traditional Indian style, offering warm coffees that recharged our spirits for the day ahead. Keys in hand, we eagerly explored our accommodations—each room seamlessly blended into the natural surroundings, some on gentle slopes and others into charming corners. While some took the buggies for convenience, others moved, savouring the breathtaking beauty of the resort.
Once refreshed, we gathered for our lunch. Even as we enjoyed the delicious food, the spirit of connection was strong. Many preferred mingling and walking around with plates in hand, eager to bond with colleagues they had only known through screens. It was heartwarming to witness the blending of the old and the new, as conversations flowed effortlessly across tables, strengthening our sense of unity.
Post-lunch, we gathered at the open-air venue for the much-awaited Town Hall Meeting and Award Ceremony. The event began on a solemn note as we paid tribute to Manju Thomas, a cherished member who had left us in 2024. Her invaluable contributions and dedication to the company were remembered with deep respect.
ID, our founder, and MD, then took the stage to formally welcome everyone to the event. He shared the inspiring success story of Beinex, highlighting its achievements and milestones over the years. The future vision and mission of the company were unveiled, sparking a renewed sense of pride and motivation among us. This was followed by the award ceremony, where the best performers from the previous quarters were celebrated, and employees who had completed five years of service were honored. The ceremony concluded with cutting a cake to commemorate Beinex’s eight years of excellence, a moment that resonated deeply with everyone present.
As the sun set, anticipation for the evening’s Wild Theme Party grew. Following a delightful high tea, we gathered in the Banquet hall dressed in our ‘wild’ attire, ready for a DJ night that promised to be unforgettable. The atmosphere reached an extreme pitch with lyricist and rapper “Vedan” taking the stage. His electrifying performance brought out the wild side in everyone as inhibitions melted away on the dance floor. From energetic dance-offs to spontaneous sing-alongs, the night was a whirlwind of unrestrained joy. The party continued until 11:00 PM, after which we enjoyed a lavish dinner under a canopy of Christmas lights, the cool Coorg weather adding a magical touch to the evening.
After a restful night, some early risers embraced the serenity of the surroundings with activities like bird watching and yoga. Others opted for a workout session and exploration of the resort’s natural beauty. The harmonious blend of lush greenery and crisp morning air made it an unforgettable experience. A hearty breakfast brought everyone together again, energizing us for the day ahead.
The next highlight was a session with Mr. Santhosh Sridhar, who shared his inspiring journey from joining Beinex as a Power BI Developer to becoming its CEO. Held in the pre-function area, the talk delved into Beinex's behind-the-scenes workings. Santhosh’s candid recounting of challenges, milestones, and growth resonated deeply. The Q&A session that followed saw a flurry of curious questions about the company’s future plans, goals, and upcoming projects. The session offered a unique opportunity to connect with our leaders and left us feeling more aligned with Beinex’s vision. A group photo session marked the end of this enriching interaction.
Post-lunch, the excitement continued at the activity hall, which had been transformed into a festive space. Collecting our surprise gift hampers felt like a treasure hunt, adding a playful twist to the day. By 4:00 PM, the pool party kicked off, turning the area into a lively hub of fun and laughter. A DJ near the pool played upbeat tracks, prompting many to dive right in. Teams formed spontaneously for games like pool volleyball, while others splashed water at each other, creating joyous chaos. Even non-swimmers found themselves caught up in the energy, often with unexpected dips in the water! Those preferring a quieter vibe enjoyed their coffee poolside, soaking in the merriment from a comfortable distance. The laughter and playful banter made it a truly memorable afternoon.
As night fell, the banquet hall underwent a spine-chilling transformation for the Spooky Theme Party. By 8:00 PM, everyone arrived in creative horror costumes, from masks to elaborate team entries. The hall was decked out with hanging skeletons, cobwebs, and paper blowers, adding humor to the haunting atmosphere. Amidst the spooky decor, the party turned into a lively celebration, blending fright and fun seamlessly. The evening ended on a high note with a delicious dinner, but the revelry didn’t stop there. Unofficial after-parties sprung up in various rooms, continuing until the early morning hours.
On December 7, the bittersweet realization that it was time to part ways settled in. As we packed our bags and prepared to leave, we made the most of our remaining moments together.
